By popular demand, NextChapter is turning many of our static forms into dynamic forms! Instead of using a standard document that doesn’t give you any wiggle room, you can now take advantage of more flexibility and customization with dynamic forms. It also saves both you and the court time and energy, since the forms will be more organized and page counts are reduced.

Here’s more info about all you can do with dynamic forms.

What is a static form?

A static form is a fillable form that’s taken directly from the court website. The downside to static forms is that if you have more text than the field allows, your information will be cut off.

One solution to this problem was that you could attach additional documents and information to the forms. But that means that trustees and judges would have to scroll to the end of the petition. So while this setup is doable and instructed by the court, it adds extra work for everyone.

Why are dynamic forms helpful?

NextChapter now gives you flexibility with dynamic forms. Information will never be cut off from a form, and all data can be better organized and presented. Dynamic forms help with many different forms, and we’re always adding more.

More options are especially helpful for filling out clients’ Statements of Financial Affairs (SOFA) since there is so much information to provide and sift through.

Another type of form that should be dynamic is Schedule A/B. When completing this form, some districts may require that you include the full property description. With dynamics, your text won’t be cut off, which is a huge help.

Other dynamic forms NextChapter now provides are:

  • Schedule D
  • Schedule E/F
  • Schedule G
  • Schedule H

Another benefit? Sections you don’t need are collapsed, so the overall page count is reduced by a good amount. This cuts down on blank space and saves time.

NextChapter is also working on dynamic forms for the voluntary petition and the 200 business forms. We’re regularly adding them to our software to help you help your clients. Stay tuned to learn which dynamic forms will be added next!
