As part of NextChapter’s latest Winter Release, we introduced a new look for our Bankruptcy Client Portal. The changes make it easier for clients to navigate through the portal and provide all their required information. We’ve also started including statement of financial affairs (SOFA) questions so that everything can be reviewed and saved in one place when working on your bankruptcy cases.
Here’s a quick overview of the new and improved Client Portal.
Client Portal
The NextChapter Client Portal got a complete redesign! We made it even easier for clients to move through the portal to upload and enter their information. It’s also simpler for attorneys to review the information before importing into NextChapter.
The navigation options on the left-hand side of the screen are easier to use and understand, helping clients get through each important section. When they’re done with a section, a checkmark is displayed so clients always know what they’ve completed and what they still have left to do. Each descriptive icon next to the section headers helps clients understand what kind of information they’ll need for each page.
SOFA questions
Another change to the Client Portal is the integration of SOFA questions. These are required so that debtor transactions and financial information are presented in a simple format. Because these questions are required, NextChapter is making it easier for attorneys and clients to complete them when working on a bankruptcy case.
In addition to the standard questions, we added a Miscellaneous field for the questions that may be trickier to answer. You can turn these on and off, and all information can be imported into each case in the comments section.
These changes will improve the way clients enter their data and will help you import everything accurately into your NextChapter cases. We also offer our Client Portal in Spanish, so your clients can enter answers in their preferred language and your team can import and translate them, and the Client Portal for business bankruptcy cases. These options give you the flexibility you need to complete client intake!
