Another year, another NACBA conference in the books! This year the annual NACBA convention was held in our home state, Ohio. The entire NextChapter HQ team drove up to Cleveland to showcase our product to hundreds of attorneys while serving pour over coffee. ☕️

The morning before the conference was especially busy for NextChapter. In addition to loading up our cars and preparing for the short drive to Cleveland, we released several new features, a new website, and an iPhone App all as a part of our Spring '19 Release!

Here's a live shot of us releasing these new features at HQ 🙌 After setting everything live, we hit the road for #NACBATheLand 🚘 Six of us made our way to Cleveland, not without stopping for an afternoon pick me.  ☕️ Just a little over 2 hours later we all arrived at the Hilton Hotel in Downtown Cleveland to set-up the booth in preparation for the NACBA Welcome Reception!

And... it was showtime! The team did a quick wardrobe change and re-grouped to introduce ourselves to everyone 💃

Soon after we settled in, the attendees flooded the hallways, eager to talk with us about our revolutionary bankruptcy software.

After the reception the team ventured out of the hotel to experience the great city of Cleveland and grab a bite at Barrio Tacos. Lucky for us, NextChapter's Chief Legal Advisor Paul acted as our personal guide 🌆

During our walk, Paul pointed out Cleveland's Bankruptcy Court (pretty cool, right?!). And Paul showed us some of the perfect hang-out spots in the city, like 4th Street ✨

The team got to the booth bright and early on Friday morning! We started pouring coffee and handing out stroopwafels and caffeinated chocolate for tired attendees, while giving demos of NextChapter 💻

We had great conversation with potential users but what was even better, was talking with some of our long-time users! We were happy to meet them in person, get honest feedback and hear about their experience with NextChapter. 🙌

One of the best parts about speaking with our users was hearing their top-notch suggestions for NextChapter that will help all attorneys using the app prepare and file cases more efficiently! We took their feedback, contacted our developers, and added in those features overnight. Check out some of the updates we made on the spot:

Progress trackers next to each NextChapter section so paralegals and attorneys can see right where they left off! This feature is also useful for attorneys to check in to see how far their assistant has gotten on petition prep.

Give your debtor peace of mind with a customized email to MyChapter Debtor Portal. Add in your law firm's logo, a welcome message, and your contact information so your clients know that the email is coming from your office 📧

During the conference we stopped by the FastCase Booth to catch up with our friends from D.C.

While exhibiting, we received an email from Sevan Gorginian, a modern attorney who uses NextChapter to power his bankruptcy practice. Sevan is especially passionate about how technology can improve his bankruptcy workflow - and he has found that NextChapter does just that! Sevan posted to a closed Facebook group for bankruptcy legal professionals to share his love of NextChapter and our new iPhone App 📱 Thanks for the kind words, Sevan!

After an exciting day of exhibiting, we made it to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame for NACBA's reception. (Full team pictured below looking like a rock band!)

We had so much seeing all of the exhibits and even experienced some nostalgia while our old favorite songs played. The team also had the chance to catch up with another one of our users, Tara Salinas! 🎸

Even more fun came the next day of exhibiting with new faces and more chats with current users. The NextChapter team pulled aside tons of users, including Delaware Attorney Tim Weiler, to film Customer Testimonial videos. Keep an eye out, they're coming out soon 👀

We can't forget about our raffle winners! We gave away Ember smart temperature control mugs to three lucky NACBA attendees ☕️ Each of them were so fascinated by the mugs and couldn't wait to take them home and give them a try. Here's one of our new users Joseph Pleva with his prize!

More demos and conversations later, we made it to the last day of the NACBA conference. It was a bitter sweet ending, but we're happy to be back in Columbus perfecting our bankruptcy software for all those amazing attorneys we met. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth.
