NextChapter's 2026 Winter Release
Much of 2025 was spent on important (but mostly invisible) work behind the scenes. We focused on filing improvements, driver updates and dealing with all the MFA changes happening across the courts. It was necessary work, but not exactly the most exciting updates to announce.
What's New? 🎉
Premium Onboarding Checklist: All new premium users will see an onboarding checklist upon login and in their Account Settings to assist with setup and familiarity of NextChapter. This is a great addition for new staff joining your firm!
Dynamic Attorney Fee Disclosures: With the new changes to the Attorney Fee Disclosure, users needed more space for lines 5d and 6.
Doc Creator Fixes & Enhancements: We have made some enhancements to our Doc Creator tool! You can now save your exported documents directly to Client Document Storage and add a header to selected pages.
Multifactor Authentication: (MFA) through ECF Implemented for all Districts With the courts’ updates requiring MFA for all logins, NextChapter added this process to the app so that all users can file seamlessly.
UI Enhancement: Per several user requests, we added the filing date to the top of the case so that it is visible wherever you are within your case.
