NextChapter's 2026 Spring Release

Our Summer 2026 Release has arrived, and it's packed with enhancements designed to make your workflow faster, smarter, and more efficient. Over the past several months, our team has focused on delivering improvements that directly impact how you file cases, manage data, and navigate NextChapter every day. From powerful new business case tools to filing automation and collaboration features, we're excited to share what's new.

Business Case Enhancements 🗂️

Liquidation Analysis: We're excited to introduce a new Liquidation Analysis page for business cases. This feature automatically calculates estimated liquidation costs using your existing case data, eliminating the need for external spreadsheets and helping you evaluate cases more efficiently.

Bulk Delete Options: Business cases include the option to bulk delete assets and claims. This was a long-requested feature that makes cleanup and case management significantly faster.

Form Preview Helper: The Form Preview Helper is now available for business cases, with a Help Center sidebar and Mapping sidebar for quick in-app guidance.

Dynamic Forms: Schedule A/B and Schedule G are now dynamic for business cases, automatically expanding and collapsing as information is entered for a cleaner, more intuitive experience.

Filing Update 👩‍💻

MFA Bypass: Save time on every filing. NextChapter can now automatically enter your multi-factor authentication code when filing through the app. Simply ensure your secret key saved and we’ll handle the rest.

App Updates 🎉

Disclosure: The federal Attorney Fee Disclosure Statement is updated to a dynamic version, with options to strike through text on line 5.

Income: The popular "6-Month Average on Schedule I" option is now available for non-employment income. This highly requested enhancement provides greater flexibility when calculating income.

2-Factor Authentication: NextChapter requires a 2-factor authentication upon login. This is to increase app security for you and your clients. You can choose to receive the code via email or an app on your phone.

New Tools ⚒️

Comments Feature: Within Form Preview Helper, attorneys and staff can leave comments for review and case tracking. Comments also appear on the Case Dashboard, providing greater visibility across your team's work.

Interactive Monthly Tracker: The monthly goals tracker on the Homepage is now fully interactive. Simply click on any progress circle to view a filtered list of cases contributing to that goal, making it easier to track progress and take action.

Chapter 13 Instructions: The team worked diligently to add a comprehensive collection of Chapter 13 Help Center articles. These articles explain the calculator’s logic behind every section and line, making it easier than ever to understand how plan data is calculated and populated. If you have a question about how any section populates, check out your district specific article.
