Spring Release Part 2 Is Here! 🌻

 

 

Our Spring Release was full of so many new features and updates we had to break it into two parts! In Part 1 we introduced NextMessage - a client texting and notification system and a collection of product enhancements. Spring Release Part 2 includes even more new features and improvements for our users! Let's take a look.

 

 

New Features 🆕

 

 

Create Template Filings 📎

 

Every court has different preferences on how bankruptcy packets should be assembled and filed. Create your own template filings customized to your district in the Review and File Section! From filing the Means Test separately to rearranging the order of the documents, you can do it all with template filings.

 

 

 

Hearing Scheduler  📅

 

It's finally here! Make sure your firm never misses another hearing date. With NextChapter's Hearing Scheduler, hearings and other important events from court notices are added to the firm calendar automatically from reading the court documents retrieved. When your firm calendar is synced with your Google, Outlook or iCal, then you have a truly automated calendaring system. 

 

Pro & Whoa plan members get notices saved and the hearing scheduler for free. Add NextMessage to your account and just check a box to send automated reminders to your client via SMS.

 

 

 

Download and Print Layout ⬇️

 

We have newly modeled the Download and Print layout to be just like the Review and File section. Your firm has all the options to download as it has to file. Now create more packets and customize them to your needs.

 

 

Common Assets 🛋

 

Save your firm time when entering assets. Create customized common assets in the firm settings for maximum efficiency. Once a common asset is created, you can access it while adding assets it in every current and future case from a drop down list.

 

 

Common Parties, Companies, and Courts! ⚖

 

NextChapter has created autofill for common parties, companies, and courts. This new feature is just like common assets - you can access it in every current and future case from a drop down list. All you need to do is add them into your account settings and you’re ready to enter parties, companies, and courts lightning fast.


 

Save Claim Defaults 💳

 

Instead of selecting the same claim attributes every case, set defaults in the firm settings. You can choose which attributes you would like to apply to all current and future cases for even quicker filing.



Even More Enhancements! 🎊

 

NextChapter has updated and added to some of our most popular features. MyChapter, Firm Calendar, and NextMessage are now even more user-friendly.

 

 

MyChapter 👩‍💻

 

We have added more firm customizations and toggle sections to send and omit certain sections to your debtor.

 

 

NextMessage 📱

 

Now you can set calendar event text reminders through NextMessage to make sure your client never misses a hearing or consultation. In NextMessage settings and on the Case Dashboard you can choose to send a CAN-SPAM Automated Message. Respect your debtors’ wishes and allow them to opt out of texts directly from their phone.

 

 

Firm Calendar 🗓

 

With a fresher look and updated list view, the firm calendar is easier to use than ever before! The firm calendar now allows you to send texts reminders from a specific calendar event. Seamlessly manage your cases with the firm calendar.

 

 

Case-Specific Enhancements 

 

1. We have optimized the claims section for faster processing so your firm can file even faster than before.

 

2. Real Property now has an option to add percentage owned.

 

3. On the Case Dashboard, you can hide completed tasks to better organize your firm.  

 

4. We’ve also added local forms, event codes, and chapter 13 plans to districts across to make filing cases with NextChapter a no-brainer!
