Meet the Team Monthly

Colin is one of NextChapter’s awesome sales associates! He talks to many potential and new customers about getting them setup on NextChapter. If you’ve had the pleasure of chatting with Colin via email, a phone call, or even a live webinar, you know how helpful he is. When Colin isn’t at the office, he enjoys spending time with friends while camping, going on hikes, trying the latest local craft beer. Colin is an avid sports fan and as a proud Ohio State graduate he attends most home games and even travels to see OSU play all over the country. This year he will be heading to Happy Valley at the end of September to see the Buckeyes play Penn State.

Job Duties

・Consult with new users and interested prospective clients on NextChapter's products and services to best fit the firm's needs and workflow
・Assist with onboarding and account set-up to guarantee success in making the transition to NextChapter
・Lead Sales webinars twice a month to provide information and demonstrate NextChapter's value to prospective clients
・Maintain contact with current and prospective clients to ensure all needs are met

Colin enjoys working at a startup because of all the flexibility it has to offer! He loves the energetic environment that a smaller company offers. Colin is able to better serve NextChapter’s clients without the “red tape” found at larger organizations.  

Colin is interested in tech and more specifically, legal tech!

“I am working in a field where I know I am making a difference. We are supporting attorneys and paralegals that are providing an important service to those in need. By building a product that improves the abilities of the attorney, they are able to better serve their clients. Also, working for a tech company is an inspiration. Coordinating with our team of developers has opened my eyes to the possibilities that coding has to offer. Enough so, that I have recently started learning Python in my free time.”

Slack is Colin’s favorite tech tools to use at the office. Slack allows Colin to freely and easily communicate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Software Development teams.

Colin stays organized and focused by following this productivity hack - prioritizing and batching his work - so he can stay focused throughout the day. For example, Colin makes calls to all new users back to back, which helps him stay in the same frame of mind.

NextMessage is Colin’s favorite NextChapter features! He loves that NextMessage “allows the firm to use a local number while they communicate with clients, but more importantly it can be automated to do all kinds of things, including reminding clients of important dates and tasks. It is a product that can improve the workflow of every firm.”
