NextChapter Feature Highlight ✨

This month, we are excited to highlight our credit counseling integration with DebtorCC, an online platform for bankruptcy filers to complete the first and second credit counseling courses.

This integration simplifies getting your client connected to credit counseling courses by inviting them directly through NextChapter’s software. All you need to do is invite your client to take the online course and once they have finished, the certificate populates into the NextChapter app to be included with your case filing. Industry News 🗞

The US Department of Education has announced that student loan payments will resume this October, with interest set to start accruing in September.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is set to release their decision on student loan forgiveness before the end of June, which brings us to the end of this week. These have massive implications on borrowers as they won’t know exactly what they owe until a decision is made on any forgiveness amounts. Regardless, loan servicers will be required to alert borrowers of payments and statements at least 21 days before any payments are due.
