NextChapter’s goal is be your single trusted bankruptcy source. We strive to add features that will truly benefit users either through saving time or simplifying the process. One of the recent features we’ve added is the Local Forms Library. Many local bankruptcy courts have their own forms in addition to the federal forms in the bankruptcy petition and it can be difficult to track them all down. Now our users can find their local forms within the NextChapter application and download them instead of searching the court websites every time a form is needed.

Attorneys and their staff can access the local forms library from their case dashboard by selecting “Additional Documents” and then “Local Forms Library.” The forms available may include Chapter 13 plan documents and forms required by specific divisions with a bankruptcy court.

We are going to be curating and maintaining a library for each district, so if there is a form you need but you don’t see it in the library, let us know so we can add it. Simply email forms@nextchapterbk.com with the form you wish to be included and we will add it to the library.

In addition to the Local Forms Library we provide all users with the option to upload a form specific to their firm. In Settings, users can upload a firm created form and after it is successfully uploaded the form can be accessed from any new case on the firm’s account. To download a firm created form for editing, users will need to navigate to “Additional Documents,” select “Firm Created Forms,” then click on the down arrow. Here is a helpful GIF to illustrate this step:

This is the first step toward our bigger goal of allowing users to merge data from NextChapter into any local or firm created form. Stay tuned for more features we will be releasing from our product roadmap.
