Each release is designed with our users in mind so that we can make NextChapter a complete solution for bankruptcy preparation and case management. In addition to new features that expand our program’s capabilities, we improve on existing features so that every attorney benefits from the product releases.

Inside the Winter Release

With so many different local rules among all the districts, it’s important that our users have the ability to tailor NextChapter for their specific needs. We now offer the ability to move claims to different schedules, attach extra documents before e-filing and input income in new ways. Being a cloud-based application, NextChapter has the flexibility to make these updates for our law firm clients without additional downloads so our software is able to meet the needs of all our users.

The Winter Release’s big ticket items are all about Chapter 13! Annual subscribers get access to new features such as the automatic time tracker and chapter 13 receipt printout which provide many benefits to both the attorney and their client. We are rolling out new plans for each district and taking out the complexity of the forms by giving attorneys an easier option for commencing Chapter 13 plans. These plans are editable even after download and they use information you’ve already entered in the application to save you time. This feature is being undertaken expressly for our users and as we wade through the local requirements, we are focusing on keeping the forms in the correct format to simplify the entire process.

The document forms library now features local forms for each district all within the application so attorneys and their staff no longer have to navigate to the court’s website to find specific forms. We also have the option for law firms to upload their own Firm Created forms so they can keep all bankruptcy documents in one place.

We are excited to share these updates with you, and are already looking forward to our Spring Release which will include Chapter 11 business forms, the much anticipated Debtor Portal and additional application improvements.
